AMARILLO, TX – Another Amarillo hockey first and two tailgate parties highlight activities planned prior to Games 3 and 4 of the Robertson Cup North American Hockey League South Division Finals as the Amarillo Bulls host the Topeka RoadRunners tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday night at 7 pm.
The Zamboni, used to resurface the ice at The Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center, will be parading down Polk between 3rdand 9thStreet tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon between 1 pm and 1:30 pm. The Bulls mascot Rampage will be riding the Zamboni as part of this unique procession.
There will also be two tailgate parties planned on Thursday and Friday at 5:45 pm in the back parking lot on Johnson Street. Free beer, and barbecue takes place on Thursday, while the next night features free beer and a Wing Party courtesy of Hooters. There will be live music provided at both events courtesy of DJ ‘RoRo.’
Once the pre-game activities have concluded, then it is hockey time when the Bulls hit the ice to face the RoadRunners.
The series is tied at 1-1 following a win by the RoadRunners 3-2 in overtime in the opening game, and then the Bulls come-from-behind 4-3 triumph in game 2. Both contests have been very entertaining and featured a lot of close play.
Fans are encouraged to bring their noisemakers and cheer very loudly to make it tough on the RoadRunners.
