BULLS NEXT AT HOME: It’s back at home next Friday, Nov. 2 and Saturday, Nov. 3 for the Amarillo Bulls when they host the Shreveport Mudbugs at 7 pm at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. Friday is Western Night and fans can wear their cowboy hats and boots. Saturday – Military Appreciation Night Presented By Sitel that includes free tickets for all Military, while their family members will receive a discounted rate of just $8. This annual tradition in the Texas Panhandle is not to be missed and includes the enlistment ceremony prior to the game.

THE SERIES: It’s the third and fourth meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Lone Star Brahmas. The teams split the first two meetings with the Bulls falling in the first one 4-2 but then rebounding with a 6-0 decision. There will be two more match-ups between the clubs on Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday Dec. 8 in the Texas Panhandle and then not again until February and March. Last season the Bulls posted just one win in six tries at NYTEX Sports Center.

WEEKEND REWIND: The Amarillo Bulls split games with the Shreveport Mudbugs last weekend at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. On Friday night, the Bulls got two goals off the stick of Nick Trela, while Logan Jenuwine, Brenden Datema and Trey Bagwell had the others. Aaron Swanson chipped in two assists and Jason Grande notched the win in goal. On Saturday, the Bulls dropped a hard fought 5-4 decision the Mudbugs after leading the game early in the second period 2-0. Logan Jenuwine, Brett Abdelnour, Brenden Datema and Alex Peterson tallied for the Bulls in the loss.

ACROSS THE SOUTH: Entering play in the South Division this weekend the Bulls have a one point lead over the Topeka Pilots and a three point advantage on the Shreveport Mudbugs for first place. The Pilots host the Fairbanks IceDogs, while the Mudbugs are in Odessa to take on the Jackalopes at Ector County Coliseum. The only other game in the South has the Kenai River Brown Bears meeting the Corpus Christi IceRays.

STATS, ETC, NOTES: Three Amarillo Bulls players are among leaders in the overall scoring in the North American Hockey League. Logan Jenuwine and Brett Abdelnour are tied for 2nd with 16 points, followed by Brenden Datema with 15 points. Jenuwine has three goals in his last three games, while David Ojamae has five assists in his last five games. The Bulls have the best power play efficiency in the league clicking at 29 per cent with 18 power play goals.
