AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls notched a single point in a pair of games in Corpus Christi against the IceRays over the weekend. After falling in a tight game 3-2 on Friday, the Bulls settled for a single point in a 2-1 shootout loss at American Bank Center.
It’s back to the road for the Bulls this weekend as they take on the Lone Star Brahmas in North Richland Hills on Friday and Saturday at NYTEX Sports Center. The face-off for both contests is 7:30 pm.

BULLS RADIO SHOW ON THE AIR MONDAY NIGHT: A great way to get to know all of the new faces of the Amarillo Bulls is by listening to the Radio Show that hits the airwaves tonight from 6 to 7 pm at Seven Grill and Bar located on Soncy Road in Amarillo. Host Denis J. Puska is joined by Head Coach Matt Nicholson, Assistant Coach Tony Attanucci to review the past weekend. The player guests are forwards Michael Forman and Charlie Singerhouse. IN THE COMMUNITY: The Amarillo Bulls will be giving back to the community this week at a few events. On Tuesday morning players will be helping with the set up of the Just Between Friends at the Amarillo Civic Center Heritage Room. Later that day, several players will be helping out at the United Way Youth Day in the Civic Center Grande Plaza.
NEXT TEAM UP – LONE STAR: The Amarillo Bulls make their first trip of the season to North Richland Hills to face the Lone Star Brahmas at NYTEX Sports Center on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm. The Brahmas edged the Bulls 2-1 in their only other meeting this season.

BULLS AT HOME NEXT WEEKEND: In just over a week, fans will be able to see their Bulls in action at home when they take on the Corpus Christi IceRays on Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 pm. Friday is Family Fun Night, while Saturday is Pink in the Rink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS 3 – AMARILLO BULLS 2: Despite falling behind early 2-0 the Bulls held tough against an IceRays team that was backed by the strong goaltending of Graham Hunt. Joey Molinaro and Joey DiBenedetto tallied for Amarillo, while Jake Houston, Brendan Murphy, and Michael Forman added assists. Anton Martinson stopped 21 of 24 shots he faced to take the loss.
CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS 2 – AMARILLO BULLS 1 (SHOOTOUT): Anton Martinsson stopped 38 of 39 shots he faced in a tough shootout loss on Saturday night. Joey Molinaro gave Amarillo a 1-0 lead in the opening stanza with help from Phil Fromberger. The lead held up until the late stages of the third period when the IceRays tied the game via the power play. Corpus Christi notched the win in the final round of shooters when a puck trickled across the goal line.
