Weekly Release-Bulls Move On to Corpus Christi After Sweeping Jacks

AMARILLO, TX – Being off the Thanksgiving holiday weekend was the tonic the Amarillo Bulls needed as they came back rested, confident and swept the Odessa Jackalopes in two games 4-3 and 4-1. The victories were the Bulls’ first two on the road in the South Division this season and it propelled them to within two points of the sixth place Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. The Bulls conclude their stretch of seven straight games on the road when they face the Corpus Christi IceRays at American Bank Center on Thursday and Friday at 7 pm.


RADIO SHOW TONIGHT: A newcomer to the line-up will be one of the guests on the Amarillo Bulls Radio Show tonight at Seven Bar and Grill located on Soncy Road in Amarillo. BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY: Amarillo Bulls staff along with Rampage and youth hockey players participated in holiday parades in downtown Amarillo and in Canyon. Several Bulls’ players will pay a visit to the Children’s Ward at BSA Hospital on Wednesday, Dec. 17. That same day more Bulls players will be on the air at FM90 at Amarillo College playing some of their favorite songs.

BULLS NEXT @ HOME: The hard hitting action of Amarillo Bulls hockey returns to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, Dec. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 20 against the Lone Star Brahmas at 7 pm. Friday is the Ugliest Sweater Contest and fans are encouraged to dress up and they may win a prize. Saturday is the Toys For Tots Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or Stuffed Animal to the game and when the Bulls score their first goal, throw the toys onto the ice in support of this great cause.

AMARILLO BULLS 4 – ODESSA JACKALOPES 3: The Amarillo Bulls rallied with four of the last five goals of the game to trim the Jackalopes 4-3. Scoring for Amarillo were Luke Novak with a pair, while Will Harrison and Joe Leonidas notched singles. Anton Martinsson posted the win in goal.

AMARILLO BULLS 4 – ODESSA JACKALOPES 1: Goaltender Jacob Weatherly stopped 33 of 34 shots he faced as the Bulls scored all four goals in an 11 minute span. Brady Crabtree, Charlie Combs, Addison Runey and Will Harrison picked up the goals for the visitors.
