Weekly Release – Bulls Earn Four Of Six Points

AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls collected four out of a possible six points against their rival Odessa Jackalopes over the weekend. After dropping the first game 3-2 on Friday night, the Bulls rebounded with 8-0 and 4-1 victories. Amarillo has an 11 point lead over the Topeka RoadRunners for first place in the South Division. In the race for the NAHL overall lead, the Bulls moved ahead by two points over the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.

The Bulls are back on home ice this Friday and Saturday hosting the Lone Star Brahmas on at 7 pm before getting a much deserved weekend off.

FRIDAY, JAN. 31 & SATURDAY, FEB. 1 VS. LONE STAR BRAHMAS AT 7 PM: It’s round seven and eight of the Battle Of the Cattle. The Bulls have collected four wins in six games. Fifteen of the 33 goals in the series have been scored via special teams.


THIS WEEKEND’S PROMOTIONS: Friday’s game is sponsored by Liberty Tax Service and the first 500 fans will get a foam fan hat. One lucky fan will win a Visa Cash Card and there will also be $1 hotdogs. Saturday’s game is Back The Badge Night Presented by Amarillo Crime Stoppers.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE: It’s a different looking upcoming schedule for the Amarillo Bulls with six games between Jan. 31 and Mar. 2. After their two games this weekend, the Bulls will have a weekend off before returning at home on February 14 and 15. The Bulls then return to the road for a trip to Corpus Christi on February 22 and 23 before another weekend off at the end of the month.




ODESSA JACKALOPES 3 – AMARILLO BULLS 2: The visiting Bulls fell behind 2-0 and 3-1 in the first period and couldn’t come all the way back. Mike Davis scored in the first period, while Cody Gylling tallied early in the second. Paul Berrafato stopped 28 shots in the loss


AMARILLO BULLS 8 – ODESSA JACKALOPES 0: Eight different goal scorers paced the Bulls to their 22nd win against the Jackalopes. Goals came off the sticks of Brady Ferguson, Cody Gylling, Ben Jentsch, Mike Davis, Mitchell McPherson, Timmy More, Matt Sieckhaus and Brendan Vetter. Collin Delia posted his fifth career shutout against the Jackalopes in two years.


AMARILLO BULLS 4 – ODESSA JACKALOPES 1: After falling behind 1-0, the Amarillo Bulls netted four consecutive goals on Sunday night. Patrick Pollock scored the eventual game winner and then set up an insurance goal in the third. Mitchell McPherson, Roman Ammirato and Brady Ferguson had the other goals as Collin Delia stopped 36 of 37 he faced.
