Weekly Release-Bulls Back At Home This Weekend


AMARILLO, TX – It’s been 31 days between home games for the Amarillo Bulls. The wait is nearly over as the Bulls return to the cozy confines of the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center this Friday and Saturday night when they host the Lone Star Brahmas at 7 pm. After taking just one point in two games in Corpus Christi this past weekend, the Bulls trail the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees by just a single point for the sixth and final playoff spot in the South Division.



LAST RADIO SHOW BEFORE CHRISTMAS: Fans are invited out to Seven Bar and Grill for the Amarillo  Bulls Radio Show tonight at 6 pm. Host Denis J. Puska is joined by Head Coach Jon Rogger and player guests Elijiah Barriga and Tristan Rostagno. The Radio Show is heard live on CBS Sportsradio 1440 and online at www.amarillobulls.com.


BULLS CHRISTMAS PARTY: The Amarillo Bulls will hold their fifth annual fans Christmas Party tomorrow (Tuesday) night at the Grand Plaza of the Amarillo Civic Center. The event includes Christmas Carols by the players, and the popular Heads Or Tails Contest.


BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY: It’s a busy week for the Amarillo Bulls in the community with plenty of events going on. Players will make visits to BSA Hospital’s Children’s Ward and Northwest Children’s Hospital on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. There will also be a stop at FM90 studios at Amarillo College on Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm as Bulls’ players will be taking over the station.


FRIDAY, DEC. 19 VS LONE STAR BRAHMAS, 7 PM — BUDWEISER BULL PEN, AMARILLO CIVIC CENTER: Special appearances by The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who. Fans are encouraged to wear their ugliest Christmas Sweater and they could win a prize.

SATURDAY, DEC. 20 VS. LONE STAR BRAHMAS, 7 PM – BUDWEISER BULL PEN, AMARILLO CIVIC CENTER:  Santa Claus will be at the game for pictures and meet all the fans. Don’t forget to bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or stuffed animal to the game for the Toys For Tots Teddy Bear Toss Presented by Wal-mart. When the Bulls score their first goal throw the Teddy Bears and toys onto the ice in support of the great cause.

NEW TICKET PROMOTION: The Amarillo Bulls present the new $5 Special section. The limited amount of tickets are only available at the Bulls Office only or by calling 242-1122.

Broadcast coverage begins twenty minutes before the puck is dropped (6:40 pm) with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show. Amarillo Bulls Hockey Presented by Westgate Mall follows at 7 pm.


CORPUS CHRISTI ICEARYS 8 – AMARILLO BULLS 4: A third period comeback fell short on Thursday night as the Bulls fought back from a four goal deficit. Trent Dillinger, Riley Christensen, Luke Novak, and Charlie Combs tallied for Amarillo.

CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS 3 – AMARILLO BULLS 2, OT: The Bulls raced out to a 2-0 lead early in the second period but saw Corpus Christi score over the final 35 minutes to force overtime. The IceRays scored the winner in OT with just one second remaining. Amarillo also had two goals called back. Will Harrison and Joey DiBenedetto tallied for Amarillo.
