BULLS NEXT AT HOME: The Amarillo Bulls return to home ice on Friday, Mar. 9 and Saturday Mar. 10 versus the Corpus Christi IceRays at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. Friday is the return of the Family 4 Pack for $44 and the Bring A Bud Pack for $22. Saturday is Amarillo Youth Hockey night and the Bulls will wear special jerseys in support of the great cause. A live auction takes place immediately after the game.

THE SERIES: It’s the 7th and 8th meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Corpus Christi IceRays but just the 2nd trip to South Texas for Rocky Russo’s charges this season. The Bulls lead the season series 3-2-1-0 through the first six games. After this weekend there are still four more games between the two teams.
WHAT’S AT STAKE: It’s a critical weekend in the push towards the Robertson Cup playoffs for the Amarillo Bulls as they trial the Corpus Christi IceRays by 10 points for the fourth and final playoff spot in the South Division. The Bulls have one game in hand on the IceRays.
ACROSS THE SOUTH: There are two other games going on in the South Division this weekend featuring match-ups against Alaska based clubs. The Shreveport Mudbugs entertain the Kenai River Brown Bears, while the red hot Fairbanks IceDogs visit the Lone Star Brahmas in North Richland Hills, TX.
STATS ETC: The Corpus Christi IceRays are 6-3-1-0 in their last 10 games and have won three in a row. The Bulls enter play with a mark of 3-6-1-0 in their last 10 games. Entering play this weekend the Bulls and IceRays are first and second respectively in penalty minutes averaging just over 20 minutes per game. This season the IceRays have won seven games in overtime, while the Bulls have collected just three wins.
