BULLS NEXT AT HOME: The Amarillo Bulls return home on Friday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10 when they host the Topeka RoadRunners at 7 pm. Friday is the return of $5 Fridays with tickets available at the Bulls Office only. There will also be an appearance by the Grinch. Saturday it’s the annual Toys For Tots Teddy Bear Toss where fans can bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or Stuffed Animal to the Game and when the Bulls score their first goal, throw the toys onto the ice in support of this great cause. It’s also the Sonic Family 4 Pack (4 tickets, 4 hotdogs, 4 sodas) for $44 and the Bring A Bud Pack (2 tickets, 2 hotdogs and 2 sodas) for $22. Santa Claus will also be at the game for pictures.
THE SERIES: It’s the third and fourth meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Corpus Christi IceRays. Amarillo dropped the first two meetings of the season in the Texas Panhandle 3-0 and 3-1. After tonight the two teams will meet again in January. Mason Krueger and Brad Power have combined for seven points versus the Bulls in the two games, while George Mika has the lone marker for Amarillo.
BULLS NOTES: Wins have been hard to come by for the Amarillo Bulls with the last one coming on October 8th against the Lone Star Brahmas which is some 11 games ago. During the streak, the Bulls have still managed to pick up five single points with overtime losses. Seven of the 11 games in the streak have been decided by one goal.
The Bulls have managed to score five goals in a game twice versus Aberdeen at the North American Hockey League Showcase and then at the end of September in Topeka.
ACROSS THE SOUTH: All South Division teams will see action this weekend as the Shreveport Mudugs and the Lone Star Brahmas face-off in a home and home series that starts in North Richland Hills on Friday and continues in Shreveport on Saturday. The Odessa Jackalopes visit the Wichita Falls Wildcats for a pair of games at Kay Yeager Coliseum, while the Topeka RoadRunners continue their long standing series with the Springfield Jr. Blues with a pair in Springfield.
