THE SERIES: It’s the third meeting of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The first two games have gone down to the wire and decided in dramatic fashion. The Bulls took the first one on opening night 3-2 when Kosta Likourezos scored on penalty shot in overtime. The Wildcats bounced back to beat the Bulls 3-2 on home ice by scoring the game winning goal in the final two minutes of the 2nd period on the power play. After this weekend the two teams will meet again in a couple of weeks at Kay Yeager Coliseum.

BULLS NOTES: The Amarillo Bulls have netted six first goals in their first 14 games and when the team has done so they have captured four victories. Power play continues to be a strong part of the Bulls success this season with ranking second at home and first overall. One area the Bulls struggled with last year was shots on goal. This year the numbers are much better and improved somewhat as Amarillo enters the weekend ranked 16th in Shots On Goal for with 31 per game, and 19th yielding just over 36 against. Forward Hayden Broomhead is tied for 2nd with six power play assists.
