PROMOTIONS: Friday – the first 1,000 fans get a special team picture and there are also $1 hotdogs. Saturday – Education Credit Union Teacher Appreciation Night – All Teachers get a free ticket to the game when they show an ID. It’s also Jersey Off Our Back Night which takes place immediately after the game on the ice, and our Awards Ceremony that is held in The Corral after the game, too.

THE SERIES: It’s the seventh and eighth meetings of the regular season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The Bulls own the season series lead 4-1-1 with all four victories coming on the road at Kay Yeager Coliseum. Forwards Mike Davis, Cody Gylling, Joe Grabowski each have five points for Amarillo. Goaltenders Paul Berrafato and Collin Delia each have two victories. Nick Farmer and Josh Haverstrom have four points for Wichita Falls apiece, while goaltender David Zevnik has played in four of the six games.

WHAT IS AT STAKE: With four games remaining in the regular season for the top three teams in the South Division, there is still a lot riding on the line. The Amarillo Bulls own a slim one point lead over the Topeka RoadRunners for first place in the South Division with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees six points back in third. The Bulls close out with the Wichita Falls Wildcats and the Odessa Jackalopes over the next two weekends. Topeka entertains Springfield this weekend and then closes out in Wichita Falls. Rio Grande Valley faces the rival Corpus Christi IceRays in its final four games.

ALUMNI UPDATE: Several Amarillo Bulls’ Alumni are playing in big games on Friday night in NCAA Division I men’s conference tournaments. In the Big 10 Tournament Ricky DeRosa and Penn State have a date with Ohio State University tonight. At the Atlantic Hockey tourney in Rochester NY, Cody Freeman and Geoff Fortman, who suit up for Canisius College, face Mercyhurst in one semi-final. The other one features an all Bulls Alumni match-up as TJ Sarcona and Niagara take on John Rey and Greg Gibson of Robert Morris. On Friday, Providence College (Brooks Behling) faces New Hampshire in Boston.
