The Wildcats pulled even with eight minutes played in the second period when a shot beat Brian Baker on the glove side. Amarillo had a late power play opportunity in the final two minutes, but goaltender Justin Kapelmaster was able to keep the game tied with some key saves include one off of Tyler Gernhofer and George Mika.
