Amarillo, TX – A perfect night of penalty killing and two powerplay goals led the way as the Amarillo Bulls topped the Shreveport Mudbugs in a 6-1 victory on Friday night.

Just 1:22 later, Tim Khokhlachev stole the puck and tied the game for Shreveport. Amarillo regained the lead when Gagik Malakyan fired a slap shot into the back of the net for the 2-1 advantage.

Amarillo, looking to grow its lead, jumped out to an early break, with a 3-on-1 opportunity being deflected into the net by Allen for his 23rd of the season. Minutes later, Aaron White would score his 10th of the campaign after cleaning up a loose puck on the powerplay. Amarillo would grow its advantage to four goals as Noah Carlin lifted a puck through traffic for his 10th of the season, bringing the score to 5-1.

The lone scoring in the third period would come from Nick Trela, as his 13th of the season would secure the 6-1 victory.

Charlie Glockner would stop 30 of 31 shots against the Amarillo net and earned his 17th victory of the season.
