AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls played hard in two games versus the Lone Star Brahmas in the Battle of the Cattle Series, but the offense had a hard time scoring at just the right time. The Brahmas defeated Amarillo 5-2 on Friday and 3-1 on Saturday. The Bulls and the Brahmas play for a third time on Wednesday at 7 pm at NYTEX Center in North Richland Hills, TX.

AMARILLO BULLS @ LONE STAR BRAHMAS, WEDNESDAY AT 7 PM: The Amarillo Bulls get an early jump on the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend with a midweek contest versus the Lone Star Brahmas at the NYTEX Sports Center. Fans can tune into the action live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm.


THANKSGIVING WEEKEND BY THE NUMBERS: For the first time in franchise history the Amarillo Bulls will enjoy Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend Off. But the Bulls history on Turkey weekend has been excellent. In eight weekend games, the Bulls are 7-1 including 5-1 versus the arch rival Topeka RoadRunners.

LONE STAR BRAHMAS 5 – AMARILLO BULLS 2: Four goals in the first 40 minutes was the difference as the Amarillo Bulls dropped a 5-2 decision to the Brahmas in North Richland Hills. The Bulls trailed 1-0 early and tied the game and later rallied from 3-1 to reduce the gap to one goal but couldn’t get any closer. Cody Gylling scored the first goal from Jesper Synellius and Kasper Emanuelsson. Brady Crabtree scored the second from Nick Le Sage. Anton Martinson was tagged with the loss in goal.


LONE STAR BRAHMAS 3 – AMARILLO BULLS 1: The game was scoreless through the first 40 minutes and it was special teams that decided the outcome as the Brahmas scored two early third period goals and held on. Joey DiBenedetto notched the Bulls goal from Riley Christensen and Jesper Synellius. Goaltender Jacob Weatherly took the loss in goal.
