THE SERIES: It’s the first trip to the Texas Panhandle this season for the Topeka RoadRunners. The Bulls and the Runners have only met twice this season with Topeka coming out on top 4-1 and 5-2. Several players on the Topeka RoadRunners, including newcomer Johnny Walker each have two points versus the Bulls while goaltender Tyler Johnson and Juho Niko have posted a win apiece. Two of the three goals the Bulls have scored have been on the power play.

BULLS NOTES: The Amarillo Bulls snapped an eight game winless drought, with a 3-2 win in Corpus Christi, this past Sunday afternoon. The Bulls have three points in their last two games (win and a shootout loss).  That was the 18th one goal game the Bulls have participated in this season (just four wins). After not scoring a goal in the first of a stretch of four games, the Bulls have been able to find the net in the first stanza for two straight contests. Forward George Mika has certainly been increasing his shots on goal total recently and now has 179 to date to lead the team.

ROADRUNNER NOTEBOOK: Topeka has seven players with 10 goals or more this season. Since November 14th, the Road Runners have notched a record of 16-5-1 in their last 22 games after going just above .500 before that. Cam Strong has netted five game winning goals, while three others have collected three each.

SPECIAL TEAMS: The Amarillo Bulls have scored six power play goals in their last four games. The RoadRunners are in the top seven both in penalty killing and power play in the North American Hockey League on the road. Topeka has netted just one shorthanded goal while surrendering four away from home.
