THOMAS HOPES TO STAND TALL ON TALENTED BLUE LINE

The Amarillo Bulls added size, strength, and scoring to their defensive core with the tendering of 6’4”, defenseman Jacob Thomas. Thomas, a Clarkston, MI native, helped fuel a powerful defense for the Detroit County Day School in 2019-2020.

“I am very excited to be a part of such a great organization with Amarillo,” said Thomas. “I can’t wait to get to Texas and get started.”

The right-handed blue liner recorded 25 points in 24 games in his most recent campaign, adding five addition points through three playoff games. “Jacob was a big-time player in the Michigan High School Hockey last season,” said Assistant Coach George Lewis. “We believe Jacob has a very high ceiling here in Amarillo. He is a big kid who is very mobile and can create. We think he will adjust well to the level and do a great job in Amarillo.”
