NAHL Announces All-NAHL & Division Teams

AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls received some good today (Tuesday) when two of its players were named to the North American Hockey League’s All-Division Teams and one player named to its all league team.

          Team Captain and forward Mike Davis was selected to the All-NAHL and the All-South Division Teams, while forward Tyler Gernhofer was named to the All-South Division team.

The divisional teams represent the four divisions in the NAHL: Central, Midwest, North and South Divisions, as voted upon and selected by the league’s 24 head coaches.  The awards are based on performance during the 2013-14 regular season. The remainder of the NAHL 2013-14 season awards, including the Most Valuable Player, Forward of the Year, Defenseman of the Year, Brian’s Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Organization of the Year, along with the Academic Achievement Award and Community Service Award, will be all be announced later this week.

          Davis, a native of Newark Delaware, finished third in the league in scoring with 28 goals and added 35 assists for 63 points. He was plus 28 with 127 penalty minutes and 11 power play goals. Davis was chosen NAHL South Division Player of the Week on several occasions and was also named NAHL Forward of the Month.

          Tyler Gernhofer, a native of Grapevine, TX and an NCAA Division I commitment to Vermont, led all NAHL goal scorers, firing 31 goals to go along with his 53 points. Gernhofer was plus 30 with 164 shots on goal and 12 power play markers.
