Amarillo, Tx(Apr 3, 2021)-The Bulls closed out their homestand with a 5-to-1 loss against the Shreveport Mudbugs.
The visitors would strike early when Austin Brimmer scored just 1:45 into the game to put the Mudbugs on top. Amarillo would respond at the 9:34 mark with a Ty Black redirection with an assist from Ryan Coughlin to tie the game. The Mudbugs would reclaim their lead at the 16:47 mark of the first with a Griffen Sanom goal to give them a 2-to-1 lead after the first period.
The Bulls would get some quality chances in the second but Shreveport goalie Cole Hudson would answer the call to keep it a one-goal game late into the second.
The Mudbugs would add to their lead when Garrett Stelle would poke home a rebound and just 46 seconds later Sean Bunting would put home a wrist shot to give Shreveport a 4-to-1 lead over Amarillo. The score would hold into the final period.
The Mudbugs would strike one more time in the final period and would hold on for a 5-to-1 win over the Bulls. The Bulls will travel to DFW next week to take on the Lone Star Brahmas on April 9th and 10th.
