More Bulls' Alumni Play At Iconic Fenway Park

AMARILLO, TX – Several more Amarillo Bulls’ Alumni got an opportunity to play at historic Fenway Park in Boston on Tuesday night.

          Ryan Cole, Sam Johnson and TJ Sherman suited up for Trinity Bantams against Williams College as part of the Frozen Fenway events. The three players didn’t figure in the scoring as Trinity dropped a 4-2 decision to Williams’ College.

          Bulls Alumni Brooks Behling (Providence), Hampus Gustafsson (Merrimack), John Gustafsson (Merrimack), Karl Beckman (Holy Cross), Tyler Deresky (Bentley) also participated in games at the iconic baseball stadium that has been turned into a hockey venue for several weeks.

          Meantime, Ryan Cole had a big game for Trinity College notching a goal and four assists for five points as they blasted Western New England University 10-1. Forward Mike Erickson netted a goal and added an assist for St. Olaf in a 4-2 setback to Wisconsin-River Falls.

          In Division I play, Clint Carlisle scored Army’s lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Mercyhurst in NCAA action over the weekend. Tyler Deresky earned his first NCAA point, an assist, as Bentley dropped a 5-3 decision to TJ Sarcona and Niagara University. Forward Cody Freeman scored in the first period as Canisius College blanked Holy Cross 3-0. John Rey earned an assist on Robert Morris’ first goal in a 2-1 OT win over Sacred Heart.

Hockey is back at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center this Friday and Saturday as the current Amarillo Bulls host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at 7 pm. Friday is Rampage Bobble head night sponsored by The People’s Federal Credit Union. The first 500 fans through the doors receive a Rampage Bobble head. Saturday’s game is sponsored by Marble Depot.
