Logan Jenuwine Wins South Division Player Of Week

AMARILLO, TX – Logan Jenuwine extended his goal scoring streak to five games (6 goals) over the weekend thanks to a two-goal performance on Friday and the game winner the following night.

That success got him recognized by the North American Hockey League as the South Division Player Of The Week for the second time this season.

The Bulls got back in action this past weekend by taking three of a possible four points in their road series in Odessa against the Jackalopes. Forward and Western Michigan recruit Logan Jenuwine, 20, was a big factor for the Bulls, totaling five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in the two games.

On Friday, the 6’2/195 lbs. native of Romeo, Michigan, had two goals and two assists in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Jacks. On Saturday, Jenuwine scored the game-winning goal with under a minute remaining in regulation in a 3-2 win. For the season, Jenuwine currently leads the 1st place Bulls in scoring with 28 points in 20 games played. His 16 goals are currently 2nd best in the NAHL.

“We are very proud of Logan for the impact he has on our team on a weekly basis. He is a competitor that brings an excellent effort every shift. He makes his teammates better and is a constant threat to change the momentum of the game every time he touches the ice. There is no doubt that he will be an impact player for Western Michigan when he joins their team next season,” said Bulls head coach Rocky Russo.

The Divisional Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2018-19 regular season that honors the top performing players in each of the four NAHL divisions. Only players that are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the Divisional Players of the Week award.
