HELLERUD EYES RETURN TO BULLS OFFENSE

The Amarillo Bulls will look for Kyrre Hellerud to return to the lineup this season and develop on past valuable experiences. Hellerud, a Ski, Norway native, spent time with the NA3HL’s North Iowa Bulls and in the NAHL ranks with Amarillo during the 2019-2020 season.

“I am very excited to come back to Amarillo to start a new season with the Bulls,” said Hellerud. “Playing for the Bulls was and again will be a great chance for me to become a better hockey player. I really enjoyed my time in Amarillo last season and I look forward to another great experience next season.”

The 6’1”, left-hander rocketed himself into the NAHL with an early, second period goal in his first game in a Bulls sweater against the Corpus Christi IceRays last November. Hellerud would go on to play an additional 18 games in Amarillo before finishing the season with North Iowa. “Kyrre adjusted well in a rare situation last season coming to the States to join us during the middle of the year,” said Assistant Coach George Lewis. “We are looking forward to bringing back a familiar name. We feel Kyrre’s increased role during his time with North Iowa will be a great benefit to him. We are very happy he will be headed back to Amarillo in the fall.”
