AMARILLO, TX – First place…
That is what’s on the line this weekend in The Bull Pen at the Amarillo Civic Center when the Amarillo Bulls host the Topeka RoadRunners tomorrow (Friday) night and Saturday at 7 pm. The RoadRunners lead the Bulls by just a single point in the North American Hockey League’s South Division.
The Bulls, who have won 12 games on home ice, still have a total of 14 games in hand on the other five divisional opponents. In the season-long series, Amarillo has won four of the six meetings (4-1-1) with the games being decided by two goals or less. This weekend series, that is sure to draw a lot of eyes from across the league, is expected to pack a lot of punch with plenty of end-to-end action and physical play.
These games will have playoff type atmosphere so fans are encouraged to cheer loudly, and bring noisemakers to help make The Bull Pen a difficult place to play for the visiting Topeka team.
“All of our games have been extremely close with Topeka this year,” said Head Coach Dennis Williams on the Bulls Radio Show earlier this week. “There is a lot on the line and it will be a big test for us down the stretch. If our guys play like I know we can, then we will come out on top.”
On Saturday night, fans can participate in a mini job fair that will feature several local businesses that will be set up on the concourse.
Tickets are available at all Panhandle Ticket outlets including United Supermarkets, the Civic Center Box Office or online at www.amarillobulls.com. To purchase single game tickets, inquire about group rates or flex packs, please call the Bulls office at 806-242-1122.
