Bulls Weekly Release-Sweeping The Rays

AMARILLO, TX – What a weekend by the Amarillo Bulls as they posted back to back wins for the first time this season and now are just one game below .500 in the North American Hockey League’s South Division. The Bulls defeated the Corpus Christi IceRays 5-4 in a shootout on Friday and then followed it up with a 6-3 triumph on Saturday.

This weekend the Bulls conclude their long seven-game home stand with two against the Topeka RoadRunners at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The face-off for both is set for 7 pm.


AMARILLO BULLS RADIO SHOW: There is always plenty of lively discussion from the guests on the Amarillo Bulls Radio Show. Tonight the Show hits the airwaves from Seven Bar and Grill located on Soncy road in Amarillo from 6 to 7 pm. Host Denis J. BROADCAST OPTIONS: Friday’s game will be carried on 1550AM KNSH while Saturday moves back to CBS Sports Radio 1440. The broadcasts begin with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm. The puck drop follows at 7 pm.

BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY: It’s going to be a busy week for the Amarillo Bulls in the community. On Tuesday afternoon the Bulls 4 Health program heads back to Tradewinds Elementary School from 1 pm to 3 pm. That night Bulls players will be at the Halloween Party at the Discovery Center from 5:30 pm  to 8pm. The Bulls close out the week at a Trunk Or Treat at Christian Heritage Church on South Nelson.

FRIDAY, OCT 31 VS TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS, 7 PM: It is Halloween night at the Amarillo Bulls game. Come on out when the doors open at 6 pm and Trick-Or-Treat on the Main Concourse as several Bulls Corporate Partners will be handing out Candy. There will also be a Halloween Costume Contest during one of the intermissions.

SATURDAY, NOV. 1 VS. TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS, 7 PM: It’s Dollar Hot Dog night courtesy of Panhandle Tickets. Come out and enjoy hot dogs and watch the Bulls face the RoadRunners.


AMARILLO BULLS 5 – CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS 4, SHOOTOUT: The Amarillo Bulls haven’t been that successful in shootouts over the years but Friday night was a different story. Brady Crabtree scored the only goal as the Bulls beat Corpus Christi 5-4. That’s the Bulls 2nd shootout win in the last four. That was Crabtree’s second of the game. Other goal scorers were Ruslan Rkahmatov, Kasper Emanuelsson, and Will Harrison.

AMARILLO BULLS 6 – CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS 3: The Bulls fired four second period goals en route to a big win on Saturday night. Paul Vella, JJ Huerena, and Adem Arifi scored their first NAHL goals to pace the Buls, while Cody Gylling and Elijiah Barriga added singles. Goaltender Anton Martinsson collected his second win in a row and third of the season.
