AMARILLO, TX – It was a weekend of firsts for the Amarillo Bulls.
Not only did the Bulls move into a tie for first place in the South Division but for the first time in team history they didn’t allow a goal in a four point sweep of the Topeka RoadRunners.
The Bulls have a record of 12-3-1 for 25 points and begin a six-game, 13-day road trip due to the World Ranch Rodeo. The road swing begins with a pair of games on Tuesday and Wednesday versus the Lone Star Brahmas followed by games on Friday and Sunday afternoon in Corpus Christi. The final two games will take place the following weekend against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in Hidalgo.

RADIO SHOW RETURNS NOVEMBER 18: The Amarillo Bulls Radio Show will make its return on Monday, Nov. 18 at Seven Grill And Bar located on Soncy Road in Amarillo. BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY: Last week was a busy one in the community for the Amarillo Bulls. The team began its Bulls Against Bullying and Bulls 4 Health Programs at Reeves-Hinger, Tradewind and Sundown Lane Elementary Schools. It was also week two of the players visiting the Discovery Center for Family Science Night. The players also handed out candy on Halloween Night to children at Polk Street United Methodists Church.
TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY @ LONE STAR BRAHMAS – NYTEX CENTER, 7:30 PM: It’s the first visit ever to North Richland Hills for the Amarillo Bulls as they face the Lone Star Brahmas. The two teams will meet a total of 12 times including four times in February and March. FRIDAY, SUNDAY @ CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS – AMERICAN BANK CENTER, 7 PM, 3:05 PM: This weekend series was altered due to an HBO Boxing After Dark event at American Bank Center on Saturday night. It’s the third and fourth meetings of the season between the two teams. The Bulls make one other visit to Corpus Christi in February. AMARILLO BULLS 4 – TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 0: The Bulls broke open a close 1-0 game with three in the third period. It was the 4th 4-0 win by the Amarillo bulls and the third shutout for Collin Delia. Tyler Gernhofer, Mike Davis, Mitchell Vanderburgh, and Carter Penzien picked up the goals for Amarillo.
AMARILLO BULLS 2 – TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 0: It was Paul Berrafato’s turn to get into the shoutout act as he stopped all 36 shots he faced. Tyler Gernhofer and Cody Gylling scored four minutes apart in the second period.
