Bulls Visit Wildcats Tonight


AMARILLO, TX – Even though two game losing streaks have only happened twice this season. It’s something the Amarillo Bulls hope to end quickly on tonight (Wednesday) when they visit the Wichita Falls Wildcats. Game time is 7 pm at Kay Yeager Coliseum.

The Bulls are coming of back to back losses at the hands of their rival, the Texas Tornado. The Wildcats are also facing a similar fortune two losses in the row, this time to the Odessa Jackalopes on home ice. A win by Amarillo would move the Bulls back into first place in the North American Hockey League’s overall standings. The Bulls fell to second following Bismarck’s overtime win on Tuesday night.

It’s the last regular season meeting between the Bulls and the Wildcats. Amarillo has posted a record of 5-1-1 in the season series, but the Wildcats own the last win that took place over a month ago. Forward Brooks Behling leads all Bulls with one goal and eight assists for nine points. Luke Jenkins, John Gustafsson, and John Rey each have seven points. Mike Erickson and Luke Jenkins have combined for 10 goals. Goaltender Mike Taffe has four of Bulls five wins.

Fans can tune into the game live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com fueled by UStream, beginning with the Bulls Warm Up Show Presented By Wayland Bapitist University at 6:45 pm. Denis J. Puska brings you all of the action at 7 pm. The game is also available on Pay Per View courtesy of Fast Hockey and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the game.

            Hockey returns to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center this Friday and Saturday night when the Amarillo Bulls entertain the Corpus Christi IceRays at 7 pm. This is a potential first round playoff match-up.

          Friday’s game is sponsored by Buzula Furniture and recliners will be given away after the first three goals. All fans need to do is register once they enter the Civic Center. It’s Plains Dairy Night on Saturday and once lucky fan will win milk for a year.
