ODESSA, TX – The Amarillo Bulls look to bounce back in the NAHL South Division Playoff Series tonight (Monday) when it resumes in Odessa. The Bulls visit the Jackalopes at 7 pm at Ector County Coliseum in the third game of the Best-Of-Five Series.
The first two games were exact opposites with the Bulls winning 5-2 in Game One but then falling 5-1 in the second one on Saturday night. The fourth game of the series will be played on Tuesday night also at 7 pm.
The Bulls are one of three #1 seeds in the NAHL post season to have their series even at 1-1 with the Bismarck Bobcats and the Port Huron Fighting Falcons the others. The St. Louis Bandits and the Fairbanks Ice Dogs have 2-0 leads in their series.
Losses were a minimal for the Bulls during the regular season. Amarillo had three one-game losing streaks and two two-game losing streaks. Saturday’s win by the Jackalopes was the first in 10 games over the Bulls in the rivalry that includes both the regular season and playoffs.
The Bulls were 4-0 in Odessa during the regular season winning two one-goal contests and then two more by larger margins.
Forwards Brooks Behling and Mike Erickson were the most productive on the road this season with 32 and 31 points, respectively. The Bulls won 24 road games during the regular season which was the most in the North American Hockey League.
