AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls continue to make changes to the roster in hopes to find the right balance of offense, defense and character that will carry them through the remainder of the North American Hockey League’s regular season.
The Bulls announced today (Tuesday) they have traded Captain and forward Alex Truscott to the Minnesota Wilderness in exchange for defenseman Nick Anderson (1999) and a 2018 Second Round Draft Pick.
Truscott, a native of Draper Utah, has three goals and four assists for seven points in 23 games. The Niagara University commit picked up 21 points (5 goals, 16 assists) in 60 games last year with the Bulls.
Defenseman Nick Anderson, a native of Maple Plain, Minnesota, had collected 15 assists in 23 games while playing for the Wilderness.
“We are very excited to add Nick to our team,” said Bulls Head Coach Rocky Russo. “He is an elite skating defenseman that creates offense and plays in all situations. He will be an excellent addition to our defensive core.”
The Amarillo Bulls return to the ice this Saturday and Sunday when they visit the Shreveport Mudbugs at George’s Pond Hirsch Coliseum.
