Bulls Tour Five NCAA Schools

BLAINE, MN – The Amarillo Bulls players have been getting a first-hand, one-of-a-kind look at College life the past seven days.

Staff and players have toured five different NCAA Division I and Division III campuses wrapping up with the University of Minnesota Wednesday morning. Other schools the Bulls visited were: St. Cloud State University (NCHC) located in St. Cloud, Minnesota; Minnesota State Mankato (WCHA) in Mankato, University as well as Division III St. John’s University (MIAC) in St. Joseph’s Minnesota; and St. Thomas University in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota.
Head Coaches Mike Hastings (Minnesota State Mankato), Doug Schueller (St. John’s University), Jeff Boeser (St. Thomas) as well as Assistant Coach Mike Gibbons (St. Cloud State) spoke to the players regarding their respective hockey program, school enrolment, courses that are being offered as well as the need to apply early and not delay in the process.

Former Bulls Alumni Dan McNamara, newly named captain of St. John’s and Ben Jentsch in his second season at St. Thomas said hello to some of the current Bulls players.
It’s back to the South Division for the Amarillo Bulls this Friday and Saturday at 7pm when they visit the Topeka RoadRunners at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena. Fans can tune into the action live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV with Fast Hockey beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm.

Hockey is back at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, Oct. 14, Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16 when the Amarillo Bulls host the Lone Star Brahmas at 7 pm.
