TOPEKA, KS – The Amarillo Bulls and the Topeka RoadRunners didn’t get a chance to renew their rivalry for the 64th time on Friday night at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena. In fact, the game never got to face off.
The scheduled game was postponed by officials after the ice resurfacing machine scooped up a piece of rubber in the auger causing it to stop right near the Bulls bench. After feverous attempts, the ice resurfacing machine was pulled off the nice but not before it left a long gash near the center red line.
It was deemed after a more than two-hour delay (trying to fix the Zamboni) that the game would be postponed and rescheduled to Sunday at noon, following the scheduled game between the two teams tomorrow (Saturday) night at 7 pm.
Fans can tune into both games live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at amarillobulls.com and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey, beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm on Saturday and 11:40 am on Sunday morning.
