AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls continue to be supportive members of the community. The contribution will continue on Friday, March 11th when the Bulls host the New Mexico Mustangs at 7 pm.
For every ticket sold, the Amarillo Bulls will be donating $1 to The American Red Cross to help the victims who were affected by the fires.
“I can’t imagine the difficulties of losing a family home and all the personal valuables,” said General Manager Chris Laurie. “As soon as we heard the impact that the wildfires had on our community, we immediately searched for ways that the Bulls could help these unfortunate households. We hope this event will raise a significant amount of funds for the wildfire victims. I also encourage other businesses who want to support this cause, to reach out to us and match our donation!”
The Amarillo Bulls have worked with various other organizations throughout the Inaugural Season, including Amarillo Youth Hockey and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. A total of $15,000 was raised for both organizations in two jersey auctions that took place.
Friday’s game is part of a busy three game home stand for the Bulls that includes games against the Topeka RoadRunners on Saturday, Mar. 12 at 7 pm and Sunday, Mar. 13 at 6 pm. Saturday’s game will include a special pre-game ceremony for parents of the Bulls’ players who are in town as part of parents weekend. It’s also $1 hotdogs, popcorn and soda night. On Sunday, the first 200 fans through the doors will receive a free limited edition Bulls Red T-Shirt courtesy of Uni-first.
