Amarillo, TX – The North American Hockey League’s South Division-leading Amarillo Bulls will celebrate the West Texas agriculture industry and culture with an unprecedented themed promotion “Ag Night in Cowtown” at their home game on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Amarillo Civic Center.
Fans who come to see the Pride of Amarillo take on the visiting Shreveport Mudbugs will get to experience a fun-filled night centered on a way of life for many around the greater Amarillo region. Among the night’s activities for fans will be a Beef Eating Contest and a Lasso Competition with amazing prizes; also numerous local ag organizations, including 4-H and FFA, will have interactive education booths on the main concourse.
All fans who attend the game in “cowboy attire” (anything from a cowboy hat to boots and belt buckles!) will have a chance to win a free 10-Game Flex Pack of tickets for the 2020-21 Bulls season. Immediately following the game, the Bulls with hold a “Skate with the Bulls” where fans can lace up skates on the ice with their favorite Bulls players.
“So many Bulls fans can’t wait for ‘Ag Night in Cowtown,’” said Lois Offerman, Sr. Director of Operations/Sales and Business Development for the Bulls. “The Saturday night celebration is a no-brainer for us with one of out of every seven Texans working an agriculture-related job, plus the strong connection the people of Amarillo and surrounding areas have to the cattle, farming and ranching culture.
