AMARILLO, TX – One Of the most highly anticipated promotions in the short history of the Amarillo Bulls is less than a week away.
Sonic Sunday, which is back for a third consecutive year, is set for Sunday at 6 pm when the Bulls host the Wichita Falls Wildcats for the first time during the regular season.
There are some changes to the way the free tickets, courtesy of Sonic, will be available for hockey fans to allow more people of an opportunity to participate and hoped better redemption.
Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday morning at 10 am at the Bulls Hockey Office ONLY located at 301 South Polk in the Amarillo Building. A maximum of five tickets per family will be allowed this year on a first-come, first-serve basis and there will be no telephone orders placed for this event. Fans must come in person to get their tickets, and any unused tickets prior to Sunday’s game can be brought back to the Bulls Office so other fans can take advantage of the special event.
There are also two other major activities happening prior to and during the game. Prior to puck drop Santa Claus will make his appearance and children will be able to get their picture taken on the Main Concourse with him.
It’s also the third annual Teddy Bear Toss where fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or Stuffed Animal to the game. When the Bulls score their first goal, fans can throw the toys onto the ice. The Teddy Bears and Stuffed Animals will be collected and donated to Toys For Tots.
Sonic Sunday concludes a busy weekend for the Amarillo Bulls that features three games in three nights. On Friday and Saturday the Bulls visit the Odessa Jackalopes at Ector County Coliseum at 7 pm. Fans can tune into the action live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com beginning with The Bulls Warm Up Show and Denis J. Puska at 6:45 pm. The games are also available on PPV courtesy of Fast hockey and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the game.
