AMARILLO, TX – One of the longest stretches of home games in recent years begins on Sunday for the Amarillo Bulls as they begin the unofficial second half of their North American Hockey League season.
The red hot Bulls enter with an unbeaten string of 15 games (no losses in regulation since October 20th), and a nine point lead on the second place Corpus Christi IceRays for first in the South Division.
The Bulls begin the home stand on Sunday at a special start time of 4 pm versus the Topeka Pilots. Start times for Sunday games were moved up to allow families to get home earlier. Special guests for the game are The Zooperstars presented by The People’s Federal Credit Union. The Zooperstars were featured on American’s Got Talent and have tour minor league sports arenas and stadiums across the country. There are free child’s tickets available at TPFCU locations in Amarillo and Canyon.
On Monday it’s the 8th annual New Year’s Eve game presented by Budweiser at 7 pm. There will be party favors available at the door. The New Year’s Eve hockey game has become an Amarillo Sports Tradition that dates to the early days of hockey in the Texas Panhandle.
For both Sunday and Monday contests, fans can take advantage of a ticket special of $10 Red and Silver Sections both at the Box Office and through the Bulls Office.
The homestand continues on January 4, 5, 6 when the Bulls welcome the second place Corpus Christi IceRays for the first time this season. Friday, Jan. 4 is Fort Night with fans getting a chance to play the game as well as participate in dance contests during the intermission. Saturday is Pucks and Prayers Night with special discounted tickets for Church Groups. Sunday is another special start time of 4 pm and features buy one ticket and get a second one free.
