AMARILLO, TX – For the first time in Amarillo Bulls history, fans will be able to listen to the games on the FM dial.
The Amarillo Bulls announced today (Wednesday) that their broadcasts will air live on 107.1 FM NASH ICON KARX starting with the Bulls Radio Show live from J’s Bar and Grill on Monday, Sept. 10 at 6 pm. The first game hits the airwaves on Saturday, Sept. 15 when the Bulls host the Lone Star Brahmas in the 9th home opener in franchise history.
For the previous eight years the Bulls have called CBS Sports Radio KPUR 1440 home for its broadcasts.
“This is fantastic change for our fans that love to listen to our games at home and on the road!” said Bulls Vice President and General Manager Rick Matchett. “Cumulus of Amarillo had been a great partner for the Amarillo Bulls over the years and we jumped at the opportunity to move to 107.1 NASH ICON. Now you’ll have The Music That Made Country Great and Amarillo Bulls Games. It’s a great combination!”
All Broadcasts begin with the Bulls Warm Up Show, 20 minutes before the puck is dropped and conclude with the Post Game Show. Fans will be able to listen to the Bulls Broadcasts online at www.amarillobulls.com and www.957NashIcon.com. Once again fans can also watch the Bulls games live on PPV through Hockey TV.
The voice of the Bulls Denis J. Puska returns for his 9th season behind the microphone and 13th in the Texas Panhandle. Last year, Puska celebrated his 700th game called in Amarillo hockey history.
Hockey Returns to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center this September as the Amarillo Bulls face off their 9th season in the North American Hockey League.
