AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls will try to erase the back-to-back losses from the weekend when they continue their five game home stand this Saturday and Sunday. The Bulls fell 7-4 on Friday and then 4-2 on Saturday to the Topeka RoadRunners, and are in third place in the North American Hockey League South Division standings.
UPCOMING GAMES:Two different opponents invade The Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center for games this weekend. On Saturday, the Bulls will host the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7 pm, while on Sunday the Corpus Christi IceRays face Amarillo at a special start time of 6 pm.
BIG PROMOTIONS:On Saturday, it’s “Show Me The Money Night,” presented by The People’s Federal Credit Union. One lucky fan could win $250, and there will be several other money games taking place throughout the night. On Sunday, it’s Amarillo’s first ever Free Hockey Game with Sonic Sunday. Fans can enjoy this game for free. Tickets are still required and can be picked up at the Civic Center Box Office or at the Bulls Office located at 901 South Buchanan.
RADIO SHOW AT BUFFALO WILD WINGS: This week’s edition of the Amarillo Bulls Radio Show will be live on location from Buffalo Wild Wings located on South Coulter. The Radio Show is live from 6 pm to 7 pm and will feature play-by-play voice, Denis J. Puska, Head Coach, Dennis Williams, Assistant Coach, Rocky Russo and player guests, Cody Freeman and Michael Erickson. General Manager, Chris Laurie, will also be on the program to talk about Sonic Sunday. Fans can listen to the show live on ESPN1440 or online at www.amarillobulls.com.

SPECIAL TEAM NUMBERS RISING:Thanks to some great work, special team numbers for the Amarillo Bulls are climbing higher. The Bulls penalty killing now stands 10thoverall, including seventh on the road. Meantime, the Bulls power play has moved up to 15thon home ice thanks to three goals this weekend.
NUMBERS VS. UPCOMING OPPONENTS:The next two opponents for the Amarillo Bulls may be the tonic the club needs to get back in the win column. The Bulls are a combined 6-1-1 versus the Wichita Falls Wildcats and the Corpus Christi IceRays this season.
HOME ICE OFFENSE:Offense certainly hasn’t been a problem for the Amarillo Bulls on home ice. In 16 games, the Bulls have fired 68 goals.
TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 7 – AMARILLO BULLS 4:Joe Kozlak’s two power play goals were not enough as the Amarillo Bulls dropped a 7-4 decision on Friday night. Michael Erickson and Brooks Behling earned single tallies as the Bulls rallied from a 4-2 deficit at one point to get the game even at 4-4. Cody Freeman chipped in three assists, while Dan McDougall, Kyle Sucher and Zack Smoot all had single helpers. Topeka scored once in the final five minutes of the game and then two into an empty net to steal the win.
TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 4 – AMARILLO BULLS 2:The Amarillo Bulls let a comeback go by the wayside on Saturday night as they fell 4-2 to the Topeka RoadRunners. Dan Sherer scored in the second period for the Bulls and Matt Johnson’s goal tied the contest at 2-2 in the third period. Karl Beckman, Brooks Behling, Brandon Lubin and Mitch Rogge all had single assists.
