Bulls Look To Continue Streak Against IceRays Today

CORPUS CHRIST, TX – After two days off, the Amarillo Bulls look to resume their outstanding play when they take on the Corpus Christi IceRays today (Sunday) at American Bank Center at 3 pm.

The Bulls extended their point streak to seven games when they beat the Texas Tornado 3-2 on Thursday night. Today’s game marks the Bulls’ first afternoon contest of the season.

Amarillo and the Tornado are once again tied for 2ndplace in the North American Hockey League’s South Division standings after Texas took three out of a possible four points against the New Mexico Mustangs. The Bulls still have three games in hand on the Tornado.

This is the ninth meeting of the season between the Bulls and the IceRays. There are still three more games between the two teams with one set for Monday night at 7 pm, and two more in a couple of weeks at the Amarillo Civic Center. The season series has been dominated by the Bulls with six wins in eight games.

Forwards Cody Freeman and Zack Smoot have a combined 22 points for the Bulls against the IceRays. Freeman has five goals and seven assists, while Smoot has notched six goals and four assists. Joe Kozlak has fired six goals, while defenseman Dan McDougall has chipped in six helpers.
