AMARILLO, TX – It’s all about first place tonight in the Bull Pen of the Amarillo Civic Center when Bulls entertain the Topeka RoadRunners at 7 pm.
The Bulls want the top spot in the South Division back from the RoadRunners who lead by just a single point. It’s the first of back-to-back games between the two teams, and if the previous six games are any indication than fans can expect some exciting and intense action. With the rivalry that has been created along with what is at stake, makes this a can’t-miss-weekend.
On Saturday night the Bulls will present a min job fair on the main concourse with several local businesses taking part.

SPECIAL TEAMS BATTLE: One of the interesting match-ups tonight will be the battle of special teams. The Topeka RoadRunners present the league’s best power play on the road, while the Bulls penalty killing on home ice has yielded just one power play goals in the last two games (1 for 10 total).
The Bulls power play was very strong the last time they were on home ice, striking for four goals. Topeka remains in the top five in penalty killing in the NAHL, including 11th on the road with five shorthanded goals.
COMING FROM BEHIND:The Amarillo Bulls have trailed just five times on home ice this season, and three of those were turned into come-from-behind wins including one over Topeka. The RoadRunners are .500 (3-3) when they are behind after 40 minutes of play with one of their most dramatic games coming when they scored five in the third to beat Texas.
LET THE HOME STAND BEGIN:After enduring some lengthy road stretches this season, the Amarillo Bulls begin their first healthy stretch of home games, five in a row to be exact. During the home stand the Bulls will see a variety of different opponents including Topeka, Corpus Christi, New Mexico and Wichita Falls.
