THE SERIES: It’s the 8th and 9th meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Odessa Jackalopes. The Bulls have won two of the seven meetings, including one in a shootout. It’s the Jackalopes that have won three straight with two coming by just a one-goal outcome. Forward Joey Molinaro has notched five goals and six assists for 11 points, while George Mika has eight points. Charlie Singerhouse and Tyler Gernhofer have each scored three times. Forwards Hampus Sjodahl and Zach Zech have combined for 11 goals (Sjodahl 6, Zech 5). Goaltender Dean Shatzer has notched four of the seven wins.

BULLS NOTES: The Bulls are 1-3-1 in their last five games and have found a way to hit the back of the net in first periods in recent games. Amarillo has netted the game’s first goal in the last four contests. Tyler Gernhofer and George Mika have combined for eight goals, while Joey Molinaro has seven points. The Bulls have generated six power play goals in their last five games.

STREAKING BUNNIES: The Odessa Jackalopes have caught fire in recent weeks posting a mark of six wins and one loss in their last seven games. The last two came in come from behind fashion rallying in the final second to beat Wichita Falls on one night, and then another scoring four in the third period. Forward Zach Zech has scored four goals in the stretch, while Derek Brown has seven points. Newcomer Jon Flakne has posted three wins.

TRANSACTION NEWS AND NOTES: The Odessa Jackalopes were busy at the trade deadline adding new faces including goaltender Jon Flakne from the Minot Minotauros and former Bulls forward Connor Wood from the Aston Rebels. The team said goodbye to forward Eric Carerras who has been a thorn in the Bulls side this season with five goals.

          The Amarillo Bulls added another defenseman Jake Rosenbaum from the Wilkes-Bare Scranton Knights who has eligibility for next season. Rosenbaum, a native of Irvine California had a point in 20 games for the Knights.
