BULLS FALL 5-3 TO LONESTAR, LOOK TO REBOUND THANKSGIVING EVE VS. ODESSA

 

North Richland Hills, Tx(Nov, 14, 2020)– The Lone Star Brahmas secured the weekend sweep with at 5-3 victory over the Bulls Saturday night.

 

Just 12 seconds into the contest, the Brahmas jumped out to a lead when Zach Purcell buried his first goal of the season. A few moments later, Lone Star would add to their lead with a Nicholas Niemo goal.

 

Amarillo would answer halfway through the period with a Jere Vaisanen goal to make it 2-1. In the final minute of the first period, Tyler Sedlack scored his first goal of the season on the man advantage to tie the game going into the first intermission.

 

Lone Start scored in bunches in the second period with goals from Purcell, Alex Murray and Nick Niemo to end the second period with a 5-2 lead over the Bulls. The third period saw strong defensive play by both teams, and the Brahmas holding on to their three goal lead.

 

Amarillo would get a few more quality chances late in the third period and Vaisanen would get his second goal of the game with 12 minutes remaining in regulation. The Bulls would get a few more shots on the Brahmas net but eventually ran out of time and lost 5-3.

 

The Bulls will have the upcoming week off and wont be back in game action until Nov. 25th against the Odessa Jackalopes at the Amarillo Civic Center.
