Bulls Face St. Louis In National Semi-Final Monday


FRISCO, TX – After an exciting day at the Robertson Cup National Championship Tournament at Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco TX, the Amarillo Bulls now know their opponent for the National Semi-Final on Monday.

The Bulls, who are coming off their 6-2 win over the Bismarck Bobcats on Saturday afternoon to punch their ticket to the Semi-Finals, will face the St. Louis Bandits. Game time on Monday is set for 3:30 pm at Dr. Pepper Arena. The Bandits rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Texas Tornado 3-2 in overtime. The Tornado qualified for the semi-finals based on a better goal differential, and will face the defending national champion Fairbanks Ice Dogs at 7:30 pm. The Tornado edged out the Port Huron Fighting Falcons in goal differential.

There are no games on Sunday at the National Tournament as teams will rest and participate in the Awards Ceremony at 6 pm. Dallas Stars Head Coach Glen Gulutzan will be the guest speaker. Several awards will be handed out that night including all NAHL team and Coach of The Year just to name a few.

Fans can tune into the National Semi-Final live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com, beginning with Prelude To The Robertson Cup Presented By Wayland Baptist University at 3:15 pm. Denis J. Puska has the puck drop at 3:30 pm. The game is also available on Pay-Per-View courtesy of Fast Hockey and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the game.
