Bulls earn point in hard fought shootout loss in Shreveport

Shreveport, LA( Apr 23, 2021)-The Amarillo Bulls earn a point in a 2-to-1 shootout loss to the Shreveport Mudbugs Friday night.

Both teams would exchange quality scoring chances in the opening period but both Hunter Garvey and Arsenii Sergevv made big stops to keep the game scoreless after 20 minutes of play.

Amarillo would kill off the penalty and the game remained scoreless when Shreveport defenseman Adam Kolcon took a head contact penalty to send the Bulls to the power play.

Just 30 seconds into the man advantage, Greg Japchen would rifle home his 12th goal of the year to break the ice and give the Bulls a 1-to-0 lead. The Mudbugs would even the game just 50 seconds later with an Austin Brimmer goal.

Billy Feczko would score the game-winner in the fourth round to give Shreveport a 2-to-1 victory in the shootout. The two teams will battle again Saturday night with a 7:11 p.m. puck drop.
