Shreveport, LA( Apr 23, 2021)-The Amarillo Bulls earn a point in a 2-to-1 shootout loss to the Shreveport Mudbugs Friday night.
Both teams would exchange quality scoring chances in the opening period but both Hunter Garvey and Arsenii Sergevv made big stops to keep the game scoreless after 20 minutes of play.
The second period would see much of the same with both teams getting great scoring chances but nothing to show for it. Eight minutes into the period, Nick Siffinger dropped the gloves with Davis Goukler for the first penalties of the game.

Amarillo would kill off the penalty and the game remained scoreless when Shreveport defenseman Adam Kolcon took a head contact penalty to send the Bulls to the power play.
Just 30 seconds into the man advantage, Greg Japchen would rifle home his 12th goal of the year to break the ice and give the Bulls a 1-to-0 lead. The Mudbugs would even the game just 50 seconds later with an Austin Brimmer goal.

Billy Feczko would score the game-winner in the fourth round to give Shreveport a 2-to-1 victory in the shootout. The two teams will battle again Saturday night with a 7:11 p.m. puck drop.
