Bulls Alumni Notebook-Vol4-Ed 3 – Another Alumni Scores

AMARILLO, TX – Another Amarillo Bulls’ Alumni celebrated a first over the weekend by scoring his first NCAA goal.

Tim Moore tallied on Saturday night to help Robert Morris University remain unbeaten in the country with a 4-2 win over RIT. Moore scored the fourth Colonials goal. Robert Morris began the weekend with a 6-3 win on Friday night. Brady Ferguson collected two goals and an assist, while John Rey also pitched in a helper, in the two games.

Joe Grabowski made his NCAA debut a productive one by collecting his first point in a 3-2 loss by Princeton to Yale.

Holy Cross grabbed three out of a possible four points against Sacred Heart, posting 3-0 win and then a 2-2 tie. Karl Beckman had an assist in each contest.

Hampus Gustafsson picked up two assists as Merrimack and UConn settled for a 2-2 tie. Joe Kozlak scored in Army’s 4-2 loss to Brown.

At the Division III level, Blake Roubos’ second season with Lawrence University got off to a terrific start. Roubos picked up three goals and two assists as Lawrence beat Concordia University (Mn) in two games.

Derek Hills collected an assist as St. Scholastica beat Milwaukee School of Engineering 7-3. That game featured the debut of Omar Mullen in the MSOE line-up joining fellow Alumni Dan Scherer and Gage Christianson.

St. John’s took part in the MIAC Showcase at the Schwann Super Rink in Blaine, Mn. Dan McNamara set up one of the Johnnies goal as they trimmed Hamline 6-2.

Goaltender Phil Heinle is entering his second season with St. Mary’s Cardinals. After posting six wins last year, Heinle made his second start of this season but St. Mary’s fell to Concordia 4-2.

The Amarillo Bulls face off their longest road swing of the season this weekend when they visit the Wichita Falls Wildcats at Kay Yeager Coliseum on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. Fans can tune into the action live on 1550 KNSH on Friday, and CBS Sports Radio 1440 on Saturday with pre-game coverage beginning at 6:40 pm. The puck drop follows at 7 pm. Hockey Returns to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center on Saturday, Nov. 15 and Sunday, Nov. 16 when the Bulls host the Odessa Jackalopes.
