AMARILLO, TX – Three Amarillo Bulls Alumni added points for their respective NCAA hockey teams over the weekend.
Forward Brandon Lubin picked up his seventh helper of the season as American International earned a 1-1 tie with the University of Connecticut. The night prior American fell to Connecticut 3-1.
Meantime, this weekend Army is back in action with a visit to Erie, PA to face Mercyhurst, while Holy Cross is Buffalo, NY to go up against Canisius College. That game will feature two Bulls Alumni, Karl Beckman for Holy Cross and Cody Freeman for Canisius.
In Division three play, Mike Erickson and Dan McDougall each had points for Williams College and Neumann, respectively. Erickson assisted on the third Williams College’ goal as they beat Tufts 5-3. It was Erickson’s third assist of the season.
Defenseman Dan McDougall picked up his sixth assist of the year in Neumann’s 6-2 loss at Utica College on Friday night. Bulls’ Alumni goaltender Mike Taffe did not play in that contest.
It’s a big weekend of hockey at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center as the two South Division leaders will clash. The Amarillo Bulls entertain the Texas Tornado on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm.
