Bulls Alumni Notebook-Edition 12


AMARILLO, TX – Two Amarillo Bulls’ Alumni certainly had big weekends for their respective NCAA program as the Division I regular season winds down.

On Friday night, defenseman Karl Beckman got involved in the Holy Cross offense in a big win over University of Connecticut. Beckman added assists on three of the four goals in a 4-1 triumph over the Huskies.

Forward Joe Kozlak added points in two of Army’s games against Bentley University. On Friday Kozlak scored in a 5-3 loss, and the following day he added a helper as the two teams played to a 2-2 tie.

Forward Greg Gibson was also involved in a key moment of the game for Robert Morris University. He assisted on the fifth goal as his club outlasted Niagara University 6-5 in overtime on Saturday.

Meantime, the Division III concluded the regular season and begins its tournaments this weekend. Defenseman Dan McDougall earned an assist as Neumann defeated Nazareth 5-3.

There are two big home games this weekend for the Amarillo Bulls at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The Bulls will host the Corpus Christi IceRays at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday night.  On Friday it’s the return of the Family Fun Pack. For just $39 fans can pick up four hotdogs, four drinks, and four tickets. There is also the $20 bring a buddy pack that includes two drinks, two hotdogs and two tickets.
