Bulls Add Power Forward-Weekly Release

AMARILLO, TX — The Amarillo Bulls added more size and physical presence to their forwards with arrival of forward Colton Warner.

          Warner, a 6-3, 225 pound forward, played for the Albert Lea Thunder and the Alaska Avalanche in the North American Hockey League season. The Apply Valley Minnesota native had 109 penalty minutes and 10 points in 20 games.

Colton is a very big, good skating power forward,” said Head Coach Dennis Williams. “He will be an instant impact on our team. His physical play and competitive level will make it difficult for opponents to handle down low in the offensive end.”

 RETURN TO ACTION SATURDAY:After a rare weekend off, it’s back to work this weekend for the Amarillo Bulls in North American Hockey League action. The Bulls visit the Wichita Falls Wildcats on Saturday at 7 pm at Kay Yeager Coliseum. It’s the first of three consecutive meetings between the two teams.

 BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY:The Hockey For Health Program continues over the next couple of days with a  visit to Hillside Elementary School. Bulls players will also be at Gold Gym Customer Appreciation Day on Monday from 4 pm to 8 pm

 LATEST FAN POLL:Fans are encouraged to participate in the latest on line poll and help select a name for the Bulls Mascot. The three final names are T-Bone, Brutus and Bruno and the winner will be announced when the Mascot is unveiled on Friday, Nov. 19.

 HOCKEY AT THE BULL PEN NEXT WEEKEND:Hockey returns to the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, Nov. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 20, when the Bulls entertain the Wichita Falls Wildcats on both nights at 7 pm.  On Friday the Bulls will be unveiling their mascot for the first time and several other area mascots will be in attendance to welcome him to the Texas Panhandle. There are several big groups planned for Saturday including Bank/Credit Union Employee Appreciation night.

 THIRD PLACE IN SOUTH DIVISION:Despite not playing over the weekend, the Amarillo Bulls didn’t lose much ground on the second place Wichita Falls Wildcats in the South Division Standings. The Wildcats split their two games with the Corpus Christi Ice Rays and have just a five point margin over the Bulls. The first place Texas Tornado swept two games on home ice against the New Mexico Mustangs, while the Topeka RoadRunners also had the weekend off.
