Amarillo, TX – The Amarillo Bulls found, what they hope is, a future gem in the tendering of affiliate defenseman Jack Boxer.
Boxer, a Colorado Springs, CO native, is no stranger to a Bulls sweater, having played three games as an affiliate player in 2019. His second outing, a road contest against the Lone Star Brahmas, produced the blue liner’s first NAHL goal.
“As soon as I arrived, I knew didn’t want to be anywhere else in the NAHL. It was top notch organization and all of the people here are amazing. I am super excited to get things going down in Amarillo.”
Standing at 6’3”, the left-handed Boxer averaged a point per game in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League with the Colorado Rampage 18U, the same team as fellow tender Carter Rapalje.
“Jack had an excellent season with the Colorado Rampage. Being close we were able to have Jack play multiple games with us this season and he demonstrated that he will be a more than capable defensemen here in Amarillo. Jack brings an elite hockey IQ and can play both sides of the puck very well. We expect him to come in and contribute quickly next season.”
