Another Bull Moves On, Aaron White Heads to Upstart D-1 Program Long Island University

AMARILLO, TEXAS – The Amarillo Bulls of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce that forward Aaron White has committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey at Long Island University. The Toledo, Ohio native spent the 2019-2020 season with the Bulls after stints in the BCHL and USHL. White is joining a Long Island University Sharks program that will have its inaugural D-1 season in 2020-2021.

“We are thrilled for Aaron and his family on his commitment to Long Island University,” says Amarillo Bulls Head Coach Rocky Russo. “The opportunity to join a new program and be a part of building their culture from the ground up is a perfect fit for him. Aaron is a great player who will help Coach Riley and the LIU hockey program succeed right away. More importantly, Aaron is a young man of extremely high character and integrity that will be a tremendous addition to the academic community at LIU.”

White appeared in 48 games for the Bulls this past season. The two-way forward was able to put up 9 goals and 21 assists for 30 points while playing in all situations.

“I’m truly blessed to be going to Long Island University next fall to continue my hockey and academic career,” said White. “From the start they have placed confidence in me and I can’t thank Coach Riley enough for that. I’d also love to thank Coach Russo for giving me a great opportunity all year and helping me throughout this process. My parents and siblings have stood by me through my whole career this far and they are who I owe my success to! Thank you to any past teammates and coaches who have pushed me along the way. Go, Sharks!”
