Odessa,TX(Nov. 6 2020)- The Amarillo Bulls dropped a tight matchup against the Odessa Jackalopes by a final score of three to two.

Amarillo fell behind early when Isiah Huempfner netted his first goal of the season for Odessa just 2:58 into the game. The first period scoring was not done as Jacob Badal would score his second and third goals of the season just four minutes apart to give the Jackalopes a three goal lead after the first period.

Oliver Bezick would get the Bulls back into the game just 90 seconds into the second period with a beautiful setup pass from Nick Martino on the odd man rush. The rest of the second period, Amarillo would pepper shots on Odessa goalie Connor Hasley but the second period would end with the Bulls down by two.

Amarillo would cut the lead in half when Paul Schmid would net his first goal of the season just five minutes into the third period. The third period would open up with both teams getting quality scoring chances. The Bulls would get a man advantage in the final few minutes of regulation but could not get a puck past Hasley and with a last second stop, Odessa secured a three to two victory to hand the Bulls their second regulation loss of the season.

The teams will face off again at Ector County Coliseum tomorrow at 7:15. The Jackalopes improve to a 3-0 record while Amarillo falls to 0-2-0-1.
