Season Ticket Holders,
I want to give you an update on the flood at the Civic Center. As you know there were 2 incidents that happened. The first was on June 25th which did some minor damage to our locker room and then the second one was on June 27th which did major damage to our locker room and other items. We are still working on going through our hockey items to see what can be salvaged and what needs to be tossed. Our staff has been working hard to go through all of our items but as you can imagine after 4 years there is a lot of items to go through.
I also want to update you on the Ice Plant. I met with the Facilities Manager last week and he is confident that once they have checked out all of the electrical damage and have power restored that the plant will be fine. There are 2 motors that power the plant that are being fixed and replaced if needed by the City. They have an Ice Plant expert from Denver that is coming down to check on it as well. It is their belief that all the work they did last season to the plant is still intact and fixing the motors will provide us with the ice we need in 45 plus days. At this point I feel confident in the information that I’m receiving from the City and believe we will not see any delay in starting our upcoming August camp and our Fifth Anniversary Season. We will know more in about a week when they turn the plant on.
If you have any questions please give me a call. I want to thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you soon as we start our Fifth Anniversary Season. Go Bulls!
