Again for Amarillo: Nick Trela

After a shortened summer due to representing Team NAHL at the 2019 Sirius Junior Club World Cup in Russia, Nick Trela might be the returning skater with the most pressure to perform this season but also the skater with the mentality and ability to meet the challenge head-on.

For Trela, the 6’1 Trenton, Michigan native, the 2019-2020 season will be his second inside the Amarillo Civic Center.

Last season, as a rookie, Trela made it clear that he holds a balanced offensive ability after racking up 10 goals to pair with his 10 helpers. Through his 49 regular season games in a Bulls sweater, Trela had worked his way to a + 21 rating.

The Robertson Cup Playoffs didn’t scare the soon to be 20-year old, as he assisted on 4 goals through his 13 playoff appearances.

Already viewed as a leader among the team, Trela will look to headman the Bulls’ push for the postseason upon returning from his time in Russia, representing the league and the United States.
