Again for Amarillo: Matt Allen

Two playoff goals were just what Matt Allen needed to help propel himself from last season’s strong form into the 2019-2020 regular season.

The NAPHL was no match for the 5’10, Minco, Oklahoma native, as Allen put up six points in four games, four of which were goals, for the Iowa Wild 18U team, before he made the jump to the NAHL with the Bulls.

In his first season with the team, Allen netted four goals with 10 helpers and recorded a +11 rating during his 32 games in Amarillo.

The pressure of playoff hockey was no match for Allen, who played in 13 contests and recorded a two-goal night in a 5-2 win in Corpus Christi.

Now, as the 19-year old enters his first full season with the Bulls, he will look to shed his rookie coat and emerge as a veteran goal scorer in the 2019-2020 campaign.
